Welcome to Southern Lights. You’ve chosen a great club to
research so now all you have to do is join us as our guest. We
meet every Wednesday evening from 6:15 – 8:30 pm at the Delta South (2nd
floor).

What can you expect to see? We enjoy fun filled educational
meetings where we practice our public speaking
skills in a safe supportive environment.

2007 / 2008 Toastmaster
of the Year
Southern Lights Toastmaster of the Year
is very thorough when he takes on a role and always makes sure that
he keeps us laughing. His great sense of humour adds levity to our
meetings and his enthusiasm for Southern Lights is refreshing and
sincere.

Guests
are welcome to attend our club meetings. When you arrive you will
have the opportunity to watch and participate in the various aspects
of public speaking and leadership activities.
| Guests
can participate in many aspects of the meeting, including table
topics that are designed to practice impromptu speaking skills.
Guests are asked before the meeting if they want to participate
in table topics. |

Attend
our club as a guest more than once. You do not have to feel obligated
to join during the first meeting. You have the opportunity to evaluate
our club to see if it meets your personal development needs.

Once you are ready to join our club - and we know you will want
to after visiting us - then we will help you get registered
with Toastmasters International as a new member. |

You
will be given all the tools you need and you will be assigned a
mentor who will guide you through developing your communication and
leadership skills.
