2002 - 2003

October and November

Early 2002 saw many exciting changes in our club. There were new member inductions and new designations to celebrate. Our past Area Governor, Sharon Scott, CTM-CL awarded the Toastmaster of the Year to our own Karen Burgess ATM-B-CL and Rookie of the Year to Stephen Mawdsley, CTM.

Variety Night 2002

For those of you who have never attended Variety Night, it's the one time of year when all Toastmasters get together, lose their formal attire, and act, recite, and lip sync. The Southern Lights Club entered into the Skit Contest and won first place for the skit "Bros. Sonovavich." There are plans in the works for a sequel to this production. To find out how it will go, be sure to come to Variety Night this year.
